    As Ohio’s Innovation Network – Ohio OMNI is a web based portal that provides access to Ohio’s innovation leaders and resources.

  • Q. Who should use Ohio OMNI?

    OMNI is designed to access Ohio’s Innovation community:

    • Leaders and Engineers within Ohio companies looking fro breakthrough “go to market” technology, technology experts and/or solutions.
    • Ohio leaders and organizations responsible for the creation of joint ventures or adjacencies
    • Ohio manufacturers looking for new product development assets, testing facilities and/or financial assistance.
    • Leaders, faculty/researcher within Ohio universities who have technical expertise in one or more areas
    • Leaders and technical experts who have an understanding of the manufacturing community and can help problem-solve and commercialize ideas
    • Innovation thought-leaders with high-profile credientials
  • Q. How many users does Ohio OMNI have?

    OMNI has over 2,000 profiles of Ohio’s innovation leaders with more being added each day.

  • Q. Why should I join Ohio OMNI?

    OMNI is a network devoted solely to solving your innovation challenges.

    You should join OMNI to share any technology or research you want to promote or highlight; or post a challenge or technical issue you may be having in regards to that research or technology.

    After creating a profile on OMNI, OMNI’s proprietary matching software will immediately connect you with fellow innovators or “challenges” for you to review.

  • Q. What is a ”challenge”?

    A ”challenge” is a topic or subject area that individuals or groups are seeking innovative ideas to solve. The challenge host creates a ”space” on OMNI that serves as a data repository for the members of the challenge team.

  • Q. How are intellectual property (IP) issues handled on Ohio OMNI?

    OMNI has worked with the Board of Regents to create a universal non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that can be used with university partners to allow them to fully engage and share IP. As always, you should be sure to have NDA’s in place and consult an attorney if you need more information.

  • Q. Is Ohio OMNI for Ohio companies and universities only?

    OMNI is focused on meeting the needs of Ohio manufacturing companies to enable them to meet the challenges of successfully commercializing an idea at a lower cost. OMNI helps university experts make connections with industry to find willing partners to further their research/inventions. OMNI will focus its efforts on Ohio – but as word of OMNI spreads, we expect that other non-Ohio resources will want to participate.
